Ike is a dynamic business leader, with a track record of successfully developing and leading the implementation of both growth and turn-around strategies in several companies in Africa and the Middle East
He has more than 23 years’ of African and Middle East experience, including holding various senior management positions in Standard Bank, MTN Group, MTN Nigeria, MTN Cameroon, and most recently MTN South Africa, where he held the role of Head of Business Risk Management. He started his career at PwC as a trainee accountant.
Ike holds a B. Com Accounting degree from Rhodes University, a Masters in SA and international Tax Law from the University of Johannesburg, and is a qualified Chartered Accountant. He also obtained his Ethics Officer certification from the Ethics Institute of South Africa and a Certification in Risk Management Assurance from the Institute of Internal Auditors.
Indran is responsible for the profitable long-term growth of Altron’ business into the rest of Africa as well as ensuring sound financial planning, control, governance, and risk management across all Rest of Africa operations. He is passionate about financial dynamics in the African market and has a wealth of knowledge and expertise on the African continent.
Indran has spent a considerable number of years in senior management, holding positions at Multichoice Africa, where he worked as the organisation’s Group Finance Manager, overseeing financial reporting, consolidations, treasury, tax, risk and governance, operational and commercial finance, as well as content production costs. His previous experience also includes the responsibility of the finance function, planning and execution of strategy at EOH International, where he also served as a Board member. He started his career at KPMG in the Auditing function.
He holds a B.Com Accounting with Honours from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, a Chartered Accountant Certification from the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants and a Postgraduate Diploma in Management from the Gordon Institute of Business Science. He has also completed several courses in creative leadership and leadership development.
Executive: Business Operations
Amagyei is responsible for ensuring strategic delivery of business imperatives as well as orchestration of cross-functional support and enablement across Altron’s Rest of Africa operations. He is tasked with leading execution when it comes to merger and acquisition activity, territory expansion, and optimising Altron Rest of Africa’s partner and global vendor networks.
His career experiences span numerous territories on the African continent, focusing particularly on the banking, insurance and technology sectors. Amagyei joined Altron from Momentum Metropolitan Holdings (formerly MMI), where he served as Chief of Staff: Africa and Asia, before taking on the role of Chief Operating Officer: Africa. Prior to this, he served as Executive Assistant to the CEO at Guardrisk, having joined their sales and business, development team. He was also a member of the Alexander Forbes Junior Board, a leadership development body for promising employees.
Amagyei is a member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants and completed his articles at Deloitte. His qualifications include a B.Com from the University of Witwatersrand, a B.Compt Hons from the University of South Africa and a Management Development Programme from the Gordon Institute of Business Science.
Executive: Sales & Business Development
Mariana’s responsibility is to lead the team in driving Altron’s technology solutions and services into African markets outside of South Africa. She also ensures that new and existing customers are exposed to all of Altron’s offerings, helping to positively impact their business. Her vast experience in this industry enables her to bring a wealth of knowledge to this role and ensures that Altron Rest of Africa’s customers always remain satisfied.
As a highly specialised and experienced IT Services and Business Management professional, Mariana’s more than 30 years of extensive ICT industry experience includes working in various complex business environments with service hubs in multiple geographical locations, including South Africa, rest of Africa, the Middle East and the United Kingdom.
Mariana holds a BSc in Computer Science and Chemistry from what was then the Rand Afrikaans University (now the University of Johannesburg) and is an IBM Certified Project Executive.
Head: Human Capital
Nametsegang leads the Human Capital function in countries across Africa and Middle East within the Altron Rest of Africa division.
Her career spans across industries such as fast-moving consumer goods, retail, banking, defence and ICT in multinational corporations including Absa and Standard Bank.
Nametsegang describes herself as an advisor and enabler who thrives on co-creating and embedding the organisational culture, requisite policies, processes, governance and controls and end-to-end HR services of applicable in-country labour laws and regulations.
She has extensive knowledge and experience in business turnaround, organisational change management, as well as driving talent and performance management in a people-oriented environment to achieve the global and strategic goals of the organisation. She leads a team of human capital practitioners across various countries to ensure synergy as they create an enabling environment for the company to attain its vision.
She holds an MBA from the Gordon Institute of Business Science, as well as a BA degree majoring in Industrial Psychology and Industrial Sociology from the University of Witwatersrand. In addition, she is also a Prince2 and Prince2Agile certified practitioner.
Nishal is an admitted attorney within the Republic of South Africa, with years of experience in legal practice and cross-jurisdictional corporate environments. He is tasked with developing and executing various complex deals and contractual frameworks within the industry, as well as business enablement and ensuring compliance with various regulatory requirements. Nishal also identifies and mitigates legal and business risks.
Before joining the Altron Rest of Africa team, Nishal served as a corporate legal counsel for a major corporate financial institution, with a core strategic focus on the ICT sector, ICT contracting and the multi-jurisdictional impacts of contractual risks.
He holds an LLB degree from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, as well as a Certificate for the Expert Negotiator from the Gordon Institute of Business Science.
Head: Marketing & Communications
Nomthandazo (Thandi) is responsible for the development and execution of the marketing and communication strategy for Altron Rest of Africa. She brings to Altron Rest of Africa an extensive knowledge of the African continent, as well as the skills required for working with suppliers and partners in the areas of brand, product marketing, corporate communications, stakeholder management, CSI, and customer insights.
Thandi gained her experience at a variety of companies, including Amalgamated Beverage Industries, Absa, Old Mutual, and, most recently, the Air Traffic and Navigation Services Company of South Africa.
She holds an MBA from Milpark Business School and a B.Com Honours in Marketing from the University of Pretoria, as well as a Management Development Programme from the University of Pretoria and a B.Com from the University of the North West. Among her qualifications is a Diploma in the Management of Air Navigation, from the International Air Transport Association, as well as a range of other short courses.
Country General Manager: Botswana
Onkutule is responsible for the implementation of the One Altron Strategy in Botswana, which includes strategic business planning, complete profit and loss accountability, project forecasting, appraisals, and customer acquisition strategies. As a turnaround strategist, he is a tenacious leader with a track record in building operations as well as an expert negotiator.
Onkutule’s leadership career spans more than 20 years, with 14 years in the telecommunications sector at Mascom Wireless, where he held various positions, including that of Chief Commercial Officer, between 2004 and 2019 before joining Altron in 2019.
Prior to 2004 he held management positions at Avis Botswana, Kgalagadi Breweries and the Hemamo Group. His expertise in leading new business development initiatives in telecommunications and technology sectors, as well as his firm belief in the importance of people and relationships when it comes to building long-term business value, have positioned him well for this role.
Onkutule has a Bachelor of Accountancy degree from the University of Botswana, as well as a Master’s degree in Business Leadership from the Business School of Leadership at the University of South Africa. He has also completed an Executive Development Programme at the Wits Business School.
Country General Manager: Kenya
Wanja is the first female General Manager to manage an Altron group company in the Rest of Africa region. She is extremely passionate about technology, particularly in relation to its possibilities to have a positive impact on the enterprise.
She has been an IT professional for more than 20 years, and her career encompasses a number of varied management positions over the course of this period. Among her experiences are serving as the Consumer Channel Group as well as Lead for East and Southern Africa at Microsoft East Africa, Regional Sales Manager at Tarsus Technologies and currently leads an ICT sales team in Kenya, driving them to provide services to deliver the skills, knowledge and technologies required to help clients succeed in their digital transformation journeys.
Wanja holds a Bachelor of Art degree from Egerton University and, as an avid supporter of bringing more females into the ICT industry, regularly contributes to women’s conferences and programmes.
Acting Country General Manager: Mauritius
Olivier is the acting Country General Manager for Altron Mauritius. His responsibility is to drive the Altron One strategy into the Indian Ocean territories.
As a strategically minded and well-connected leader who is extremely passionate about helping organisations enhance productivity, he is a firm believer that, in today’s fast changing business environment, organisations need to constantly re-invent themselves using disruptive technologies to transform and unlock new opportunities.
Olivier has more than 20 years’ experience in senior roles, leading high-performance teams to deliver on organisational objectives within sub-Saharan Africa.
He holds a Diploma in Information Technology from the Cape Peninsula University of Technology and has a post graduate certificate in management from Wits Business School.
Acting General Manager: Mozambique
Dulce is tasked with ensuring business success in Mozambique while delivering solutions that will enable Altron’s clients to provide efficient and high-quality services to their end-customers.
Dulce is vastly experienced in the field of Sales and Business Development Management. Among her key areas of knowledge are Vendor/Partner Management, and Enterprise Technology, including both Systems Integration and Systems and Networking Security.
She holds a degree in Electronic Engineering from Eduardo Mondlane University in Mozambique and a Postgraduate degree in Business Administration from the University Institute of Lisbon in partnership with The Polytechnic University.
Country General Manager: Mozambique
Country General Manager: Namibia
JC is responsible for Altron’s operations in Namibia and his key focus areas include, among others, strategic business planning, operational management, financial planning, people leadership, as well as revenue generation.
He brings to the table 40 years’ worth of ICT experience in the Namibian technology industry with a particular focus on the financial ICT sector. He is a firm believer in placing the customer at the centre of everything and has honed his skills as a customer-centric leader over a lengthy and rewarding career. As an ardent negotiator, the success of his approach can be determined by the simple fact that he believes in and fosters strategic and sustainable business relationships, some of which date back more than 30 years.
He holds a Diploma in Telecommunications and Telematics from Pretoria Technikon, along with a number of management certificates.
Country General Manager: Middle East
Craig is charged with developing strategies to implement the One Altron strategy in the Middle East as well as leading a team of specialists to deliver innovation that matters in his target market.
He is zealous about smart technologies and how their enablement can help the lives of people, both at a personal and professional level. He believes that to lead a team, one must care as much about the team as one does about the company and its customers. To him, a clear sign of success is having a high performing, self-motivated team and referenceable customers.
Craig has 30 years’ experience in operations, sales and services across both the Asia Pacific and the Middle East regions, delivering solutions centred around workforce management and achieving positive outcomes for customers. He brings to the table a range of skills and expertise, including driving business growth, leading negotiations, building and leading high-performance teams, improving productivity, programme and project management, vendor/partner management, and enterprise technology.
He holds a Master’s in Project Management from Sydney University, Australia.
